Review on the ultrasonic parametric imaging of cancellous bones

Two ultrasonic parameters imaging methods for cancellous bone are introduced:broadband ultrasound attenuation imaging and sound speed imaging.The basic principle and practical applications of the two kinds of transmission imaging methods are explained.And some problems on ultrasonic parameter imaging of the transmission method are pointed out.Then the feasibility of ultrasonic backscattering coefficient imaging method is discussed.And an outlook on the further research work is presented.
