Passive acoustic location algorithm based on a six-element detection array and its performance analysis

Abstract
Aimed at the problem of low location precision of a four-element-square-array,a design of six-element detection array composed of adding two acoustic sensors to a four-element-square-array is presented.The location algorithm is deduced based on the theory of passive acoustic location.The influence of time delay estimation error on the location precision is analyzed.Simulation results show that the design has a good location performances compared with the four-element-square-array.
