An improved adaptive lattice notch filter (I-ALNF)having unsymmetrical frequency response is proposed. A new improved adaptive algorithm to fulfill I-ALNF using zero-pole parameters is deduced. Based on good detection performance of the I-ALNF,the glottal closure instant (GCI)can be positioned through an instant frequency,which is iterated by reflectance. Experiment results show that the proposed method is effective.
