Aircraft noise analysis in the programming of large airports

Aircraft noise is predicted with the Integrated Noise Model to assess the environmental impact of a large airport.Contours of noise are obtained,and the increase of the incompatible land with the in-crease of the flights is analyzed.The results show that,with a few exceptions,the airport programming and the long-term land use plan are compatible.Proposals on land use controlling are given,and noise reduction measures are recommended,including appropriate selection of aircraft type,adjustment of flight proportions for the time intervals,taking lower flight profiles,and planting trees and lawns.
