Settling process analysis of the loudspeaker system transient character

A method using Schroeder integral formula to calculate the settling time is introduced.Relation between the settling time and the transient characteristics of the speaker system is indicated in theory,and the settling time is regarded as one parameter used to describe the transient characteristics.Further,relation between the settling time of the woofer unit and its low frequency parameters is analyzed.Based on the above analyses,the speaker system that has short settling time shows better transient characteristics.This conclusion provides a new way for the research of the transient characteristics of speaker systems.
