Broad band matched field processing technique basing on time-reversal

The phase conjugate in the frequency domain is usually replaced with time-reversal for time reversal invariance of linear wave equation and interchange of acoustic field.Therefore the time reversal technique can be applied to the matched field processing.As MFP,matched field processing with time reversal(TR-MFP) is influenced by oceanic environmental information such as the sound speed profile and boundary conditions.In this paper,Matched field processing with time reversal technique is studied and analyzed with simulation and experimental data.Computer simulation and sea-test data show that the time-reversal technology is effective in target localization with good precision and clear array gain.
