Review and prospect of infrasonic source localization methods

  • Locating the source of infrasound is one of the main focuses of infrasound detection technology research, which has important application value in civil and military fields such as natural disaster warning and nuclear explosion monitoring. This article analyzes the current research status and various methods of infrasound localization both domestically and internationally. Based on a comprehensive review of a large number of literatures on infrasound localization, this paper examines the infrasound localization methods based on sensor arrays, atmospheric sound propagation, and the Bayesian framework. The advantages and disadvantages of these methods are compared and analyzed. Additionally, potential future research directions for infrasound source localization methods are identified
