Effects of temperature on shear wave dispersion measurement in rat liver

  • Accurate measurement of shear wave phase velocity and attenuation dispersion characteristics has great significance. The change of temperature may have an effect on the mechanical properties of soft tissue. In order to study the effect of temperature change on the measurement of shear wave phase velocity and attenuation dispersion characteristics, in this paper, the shear wave velocity and attenuation characteristics of the rat liver are measured by in vitro experiments based on the method of shear wave imaging of acoustic radiation. The experimental results show that the shear wave velocity decreases with the increase of temperature, and the attenuation dispersion increases gradually, especially in the high frequency range. The experimental results show that the temperature is not negligible when measuring the shear wave velocity and attenuation dispersion in the rat liver, which is of great significance for the future animal experiment studies and the evaluation of disease.
