Abstract:
In order to improve the efficiency of underwater acoustic beacon search and location sonar, a deconvolution based high-precise underwater acoustic beacon orientation measurement method is proposed in this paper, by which the result of conventional beamforming is deconvolved. This method improves the array gain and orientation precise of the sonar to improve searching and locating efficiency, and enable the sonar designed for the 37.5 kHz beacon to search and locate the 8.8 kHz beacon. Performance of the proposed method is evaluated based on simulated and measured data.
