Abstract: The 1 500-seats grand theater is the core hall in Pingtan International Performing Arts Center. It was given high evaluation on its acoustics after its first performance. In this paper, the test results of objective acoustical parameters of theatres are used for correlation analysis with 14 theatres in the world. The results of grey correlation analysis show that the 1 500-seats theatres of Pingtan International Performing Arts Center and the Metropolitan Opera House of New York have the highest correlation degree in their acoustical parameters. Experts rated the acoustics of the Metropolitan Opera House high, which also shows that the Pingtan International Center for Performing Arts has a good acoustics.
