Abstract:
This paper studies a phase-weighted beamforming (PWBF) algorithm based on conventional beamforming (CBF) methods. It directly weights the square spectrum of the CBF algorithm in the scanning direction according to the phase characteristics of the received signal in the array, ensuring that the received signal power in the target direction remains unchanged, suppresses the power of non-target signals that deviate significantly from the target direction, achieving the goal of reducing sidelobes and improving the spatial resolution of the CBF algorithm. The article compares the CBF algorithm and PWBF algorithm through numerical simulation and lake trial data, verifying the feasibility and effectiveness of the PWBF algorithm.
